Halle Berry also states once again that she is still the only black woman to receive the prestigious award (Oscar). This statement is totally not true. Hale Berry's mother is white and her father is black. That does not make Halle Berry black no matter how many times you write out the equation. Halle Berry is of a mixed race. To date a black woman has never received the Oscar for Best Actress. However Hattie McDaniel whose mother and Father were both black did receive the Prestigious Oscar award for her role as Mammy in the epic "Gone With the Wind" in 1937. To date Hattie McDaniel is still the only first black woman to receive the Oscar. Even though Hattie's Oscar was for a supporting role she is still the first black woman to be awarded the Oscar "My book My Life with my Mom and Halle Berry" will soon be published on Amazon/Kindle and in paperback. One of my chapters will explain exactly how Halle Berry stole the Oscar and how she knew months in advance that she would receive it.
